Centre of Voronezh region

Volunteer Resource Centre of Voronezh region is established in 2013 on the basis of the Centre of Civil Initiatives of Voronezh Institute of High Technologies (hereinafter CCI VIHT). CCI VIHT is a non-governmental non-profit social welfare service, which specializes in providing targeted services to citizens by efforts of specially trained volunteers.

Currently Volunteer Resource Center
of Voronezh region is

  • an effective team of 200 volunteers;
  • a dispatching service, which receives citizens on a day-to-day basis;
  • a platform for learning at a distance school under the following programs: «Volunteer of a municipality», «Innovative project activity for the provision of social services to the population», «Management of social innovation project development»;
  • a member of the Board of the International University Search and Rescue Council (IUSRC);
  • an initiator and organizer of more than 400 charitable events, student actions intended to support and care for people who find themselves in difficult life situations; participation in urban greening activities, improvement of public gardens and park areas;
  • organization of sporting and educational events, as well as actions aimed at a healthy lifestyle promotion;
  • participation in the implementation of major federal and regional projects, such as «The University of the Civil Initiatives Committee», the civil forum of Voronezh region, «The Civil Initiative» National Award, the Olympic Torch Relay, «Molgorod» - youth educational forum and others.

International volunteer camp

“Goodness without borders” — 2016”

3 In 2016 Volunteer Resource Centre holds international volunteer summer camp «Goodness without borders» suggesting to volunteers and young people interested in volunteer projects, the Russian language studying, introducing the rich cultural traditions of Russia, as well as exchanging of practical experience, meeting people holding the same views and providing an opportunity of full immersion in the work of Volunteer Resource Centre.

The program has a modular structure, each module lasts for one day, during which participants are introduced to one field of the volunteer activities as well as sightseeing attractions, culture and traditions of our region, and take part in master - classes.

The 10-day camp program includes:

  • Academic Unit (24 academic hours): Russian language lessons, master - classes, video – lesson, excursion lesson
  • Participation in voluntary thematic workshops, practical experience
  • Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Accommodation in a hostel ;
  • Participant’s kit: certificate, volunteer book, photos, souvenirs
  • Excursion program
  • Transport services

Note: It is possible to develop or adjust the program of the theme camp to suit your interests and objectives.

Day 1-2
Eco-volunteering in the Historical and
Archaeological Museum-Reserve «Divnogor’e»

Participation in the improvement of the open air museum - reserve area is an opportunity not only to help to preserve the unique natural monument in absolute purity, but also to fully enjoy the beauty and majesty of Russian nature, as well as to get acquainted with the ancient history of Voronezh area! Tent camp on the river shore and songs near the fire will leave the kindest and brightest memories!

Day 3
Introduction to arts and crafts at
«Kudikina Gora» family leisure park.

A unique park in the reserve on the bank of the Don river is known for its City of Craftsmen and safari park. It’s a unique and colorful place. The City of Craftsmen is a wooden fortress, built without a single nail! You will be introduced to the life and crafts of all regions of our huge country, and have an opportunity to try on the role of a craftsman: potter, blacksmith, tailor, tanner, soap-boiler, and make any product by your own hands. Safari Park will make your day by meeting with exotic animals, green landscapes and original exhibits strewn across the vast expanse

Day 4
Cultural traditions and legends

Rich cultural traditions and ancient legends of Voronezh land are well represented in Ramon district. Excursion to «Birulki (Spillikins)» - anti-museum of forgotten games, is a unique opportunity to learn how to play ancient Russian games, learn the ways of wooden toys turning by the medieval lathe and try herbal tea with Ramon cookies in the real log hut, which is more than 100 years old!

The Eugenia Oldenburg Palace is an architectural landmark of Ramon and one the most famous tourist attractions in Voronezh region. It is included into the list of objects of historical and cultural heritage protected by state and having federal importance. The Eugenia Oldenburg Palace is steeped in legends: as in any castle there are strange sounds, inexplicable images which make your toes curl.

Day 5-6
Participation in search-and-rescue

During the World War II there were fierce battles in Voronezh region. Until now, treasure hunters and lovers of the antiques find weapons, ammunition, and various artifacts of wartime with the help of metal detectors. Together with our volunteers and search and rescue experts the group has an opportunity to participate in the work of search-and-rescue party and have a sight of the war history with their own eyes, master search and rescue skills going through all the stages of a specialized route, to plunge into the history coming into contact with its artifacts stored in the ground.

Day 7
Voronezh is the capital of the «Black Soil
Region» the cradle of the Russian fleet.

Voronezh is a regional capital and major cultural, economic, and transportation centre of the «Black Soil Region» of Russia. The city is also the birthplace of many famous Russians, including writers Ivan Bunin and Andrei Platonov as well as the great Russian painter Ivan Kramskoi. The city is located on the Don River which is one of the largest and most beautiful rivers in Europe. There are a lot of nature reserves, historic and archeological sites in its suburbs. The architectural appearance of Voronezh combines old buildings and modern neighborhoods. There are lots of parks, fountains and flowers in the city.

2 days in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg is the cultural capital of Russia.

Saint Petersburg is one of the largest cultural centers of universal importance. It is often called «the cultural capital of Russia.» The city is the European «gateway» of Russia, its strategic center, directly bordering with the European Union.

This is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, which played an important role in the Russian history

Modern Saint Petersburg is an important cultural and industrial center and a major seaport. Infrastructure development and location make the city an important trading center

2 days in Moscow

Moscow is the official capital of Russian Federation, the historic capital of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, Russian kingdom, Soviet Russia and the Soviet Union, the hero city. Moscow is an important tourist center of Russia. Moscow Kremlin, Red Square, Novodevichy Convent and Church of the Ascension in Kolomenskoye are on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

2 days tour around the Golden Ring of Russia

Visits to the ancient Russian cities in six regions of Russia bring infinite pleasure to archaists, lovers of Russian nature, cultural and architectural sites.

The Golden Ring of Russia is a symbolic ring of Russian cities included in the tour of the Golden Ring, a famous classical tour itinerary in Russia.

The towns have been called «open-air museums» and feature unique monuments of Russian architecture of the 12th–18th centuries, including kremlins, monasteries, cathedrals, and churches

The Golden Ring route is not just traveling but also a touch of Russian history captured in the unique town images and architectural ensembles
